TRT, or Testosterone Replacement Therapy, is a medical treatment designed to help men by administering bioidentical testosterone (chemically equivalent to the testosterone your own body produces) to bring your levels back to an optimal range. Testosterone is a vital hormone that affects energy, mood, muscle mass, sexual health and overall well-being. As men age or experience certain health conditions, their natural testosterone levels may decline, leading to symptoms of low testosterone.

Testosterone can be administered in several ways, depending on your treatment plan recommendations. At our clinic, we primarily offer injections (intramuscular or subcutaneous) or topical creams/gels, as they provide the most control and flexibility. We choose not to use pellets for several reasons:
Limited dose adjustments: Once inserted, pellets can't be easily adjusted, making it difficult to fine-tune your treatment as your needs change.
Invasive procedure: Pellet insertion requires a minor surgical procedure that oftentimes is painful, and some patients experience complications, such as infections or pellet extrusion.
Inconsistent levels: Pellets do not always provide consistent testosterone levels, which may reflect in variable symptoms you could experience.

To determine if you qualify for Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), you'll first need to schedule an initial consultation with Shelby Rojas. This comprehensive one-hour consultation will allow us to review your symptoms, health goals, and medical history in detail. During the consultation, we will also order a comprehensive blood work panel to evaluate your hormone levels.
Once your lab results are in, Shelby will carefully interpret and break down the numbers, explaining everything clearly to help determine if you are a good candidate for TRT. Based on your symptoms and the lab results, she'll recommend the best course of action tailored specifically to your needs.
